Light amber with golden fringes. Briny and peaty nose with bold salty notes. There is an underlying character of molasses or vanilla as well. This whisky is sweet up front on the palate. The body is oily textured but not too heavy. Big, sweet malt character with hints of vanilla and toffee. That leads into a characteristic Caol Ila profile of bold brine, soft peat, and salt. The finish is long, sweet, and malty with a touch of fruit that is reminiscent of peaches. Beautiful whiskey.
