Rich brownish/amber color.
A ton of esters on the nose. The wild yeast fermentation is very apparent. Rich aromas of smoke, butter, molasses, cinnamon, clove-like spices, and vanilla are apparent.
On the palate this is strong, smoky, spicy, and rich. The body is very oily and textured.
At full proof the alcoholic strength is readily apparent but it is appropriate for the style and not out of balance.
Good rum and very true to style for British Navy/Jamaican Rum.
