Nutty brown amber with light amber fringes.
Butterscotch, spicy bourbon oak, and fresh sugar cane on the nose.
Bold on the palate. This rum has a nice medium-creamy body and the flavors are densely packed. Big notes of spicy bourbon oak and vanilla pair well with brown sugar, butterscotch and caramel. The palate has no heat at all, the alcohol is integrated very well, it has a touch of sweetness, leaning towards brown sugar, but overall the palate is fairly dry and finishes clean and dry. You are left with notes of caramel, buttery caramel, and toasty oak on the finish.
Very good.
