Fairly red-tinted amber color.
Soft red-wine fruit on the nose with a lightly sweet character. The peat and salt of Bruichladdich are there but subtle on the nose.
On the front of the palate the peat hits you. It is bold and spicy with a salty influence. As the peat fades the cabernet fruit influence begins to show through. The whisky trends away from big peat and into a long finish of sweet fruit and a nice sweet malt character.
