This batch is aged 11 years though the label still states 9.
Light amber brown color.
The nose is very fruity, in the vein of apricots or marmalade, with a nice note of crème brûlée and custard. Rich in corn character.
Rich and spicy oak profile with a rich underlying character of rye fruit and a strong note of vanilla. The finish carries the vanilla and fruit and lasts a long time. Drinks a bit lightly for a 90 proof bourbon but overall this is a nice whiskey but the price is a bit high.
